Significant progress has been made in the evaluation of paper packaging LCA

The project "life cycle assessment (LCA) of paper packaging products" jointly studied by Shenzhen Jinjia Group Co.,Ltd and Beijing institute of printing has been successfully concluded.

The subject requirement according to ISO14040 standards implementation, collects and analyses the typical printed folding cartons in a period of 1 year of related raw materials, energy in the process of input and output of listing, and quantitative analysis of the product system to climate change, the primary energy consumption, water consumption and inhaled inorganic, acidification, eutrophication, ozone depletion, non-living resources consumption, a total of nine photochemical ozone synthesis environmental impact.

Through the research, the key processes and key materials of the environmental impact of the carton printing process are clarified. The LCA evaluation data was collected and supplemented, and the evaluation database of offset printing and post-processing was established. All kinds of raw and auxiliary materials are analyzed and studied, and the direction of enterprise supply chain green management is defined. In the course of this research, the implementation method of LCA evaluation in the paper packaging and printing industry has been formed.

The research results of the project provide basis for product green design and improvement, enterprise self-evaluation and environmental management, and provide reference for environmental protection authorities and industry associations to formulate policies.
