HP is making new moves in 3D printing

Siemens has been an important partner for HP in transforming 3D printing into production technology. Siemens provided HP with software to develop and extend the Multi Jet Fusion technology. NX AM software dedicated to HP Multi Jet Fusion 3D printers was launched in September last year as an extension of Siemens 3D printing from end-to-end design to production software solutions.

HP announced an expanded partnership with Siemens PLM to provide more innovative opportunities for 3D design and 3D printing. The partnership will give Siemens's NX and Solid Edge software users more advanced features so they can use HP's MJF technology to design and make full-color 3D printing products.

HP's Jet Fusion 300/500 3D printer series is applicable to the conceptual prototype design and short-term production of terminal products, and is the first 3D printing solution. The series also supports top color file formats such as 3MF. As a result, customers using the new Solid Edge and NX for HP MJF will have access to 3MF files for all HP 3D printers, including industrial Jet Fusion 4200/4210 and 300/500 solutions.

By combining these cutting-edge digital manufacturing technologies, customers can quickly and economically prototype, complete 3D printing design and make terminal applications, and it is expected that the use of Siemens software and HP MJF technology will increase.

The expansion of HP's partnership with Siemens also provides new opportunities for partners and customers in Siemens's additive manufacturing network to accelerate the application of 3D printing on an industrial scale. In addition, the Siemens additive manufacturing experience center in erlangen, Germany will also add HP's MJF technology as the basic 3D printing platform, so that customers can experience and understand the latest 3D printing technology and application.

Siemens and HP share the goal of working together to accelerate the digital transformation of manufacturing, such as industrial-scale 3D printing and design generation. By integrating their 3D printing technologies into a solution, they were able to re-plan and improve their production and business models and conduct entirely new product designs.
